This is the number one secret to getting your reader to click out from the article to
your website. The author resource box is a text area describing who the author is, that
is appended automatically to the end of submitted articles.

Internet articles are different than ones in print. On the Internet, a needed conversion
should take place…mainly a “click through” to a website. In print, the money has already
been made when the magazine is purchased. On the internet, money will be made when the reader
clicks out.

Keeping that in mind, it is important that the reader is enticed to click. In a print author
bio, you will see credentials, education, past authorship and the like. In a Internet author
bio, you have to lead the reader along.

One way to do this is to ask open end questions. Ones where it is implied that the answer is
found when clicking out. For example:
“How do you know if your getting the best deal in what you are buying? Let’s say the author
has the words “number one hottest trend”.

The words “number one hottest trend” would be a clickable link to her website. This makes me
want to click on the link to find out the answer. This simple yet overlooked technique makes
a huge difference in getting people to click out. Marketing on the Internet is easy…all you
really need is the proper training and solutions to make people want to buy!

What is this strange term? Pay Per Click ads are the “sponsored ads” that you’ll
see every time you search on Google or other search engines. They are usually on
the right hand side of the search results and sometimes at the top of the listing.

It’s called Pay Per Click because if you click on the ad, the advertiser gets charged
a small amount for the effort. Click costs can run from a penny to a few dollars, all
depending on the keywords used and how much competition there is for those words. Before
you say, “I’m not paying a dollar every time someone clicks on my ad,” there are some
advantages. I know you can rack up some hefty charges in short order and some of my friends
have spent a fortune on PPC. But they a made a small fortune back on the process as well.

The reason why is because you can make it on the first page of Google in hours instead of
months because you’re buying a spot in the results. Being on the first page of a Google
search for jewelry, day after day, can bring in a global business of wealth like you’ve
never seen. Often an advertiser will pay $3.00 for a click, just to make a $100 or more
sale when the visitor gets there. It’s just plain, good old fashioned advertising. And your
chances of getting on the first page of Google without using PPC for a word like “diamond
jewelry” is slim to none… unless you’re Zales, Overstock or BlueNile.

Before you dive into PPC, know it’s only for very serious marketers and not for the weak of
heart. Your website has to be a perfect product machine that converts into sales easily.
This is something that takes practice. If you are under prepared and dive in too early,
you’ll lose your shirt very quickly.

Internet forums are not just fun and popular tools for finding information and making friends,
they are great places to build your expertise and teach the world about your your expertise. Forums are
some of the first places people go when searching for information not because of the valuable
resource they are, but they come up high in search engine results. This gives you,
expert, a chance for real exposure to a worldwide audience of potential customers.

Forums are run by moderators that regulate the posts to keep advertisers and spammers from
ruining the integrity of the information. You can register to create posts of your own and
encourage a dialogue with the other members of the forum. You can answer questions to help
others and make yourself look like an expert. Members will come back often and over and over
again to seek information and to tell stories. Many long lasting relationships have been formed
by members of forums.

Not only does this give you an opportunity for exposure, it helps your website traffic too. The
links you leave on your posts should point to your website to help drive interested visitors to
your  website. Google values highly the links from forums to your website and having many
quality links from popular forums will help your website get better search engine positioning.
Creating a presence on the Internet is as easy as having fun and making friends when you use
forums. Just Google your subject forums to find dozens of quality sites. Sometime just getting the
proper training and guidance will work wonders for your business.

Getting your website found by the search engines such as Google and Yahoo
requires some nifty keyword selections on your part that describe the kind of
words people are looking for. Keywords are the words and phrases people type into
the search engine box to find what they need. If they match the text on your
website, you’ll get a good search engine position. The trick, however, is figuring
out what people are typing in the search box. I have a place where you can find
these answers.

Google has what is called a “keyword suggestion tool.” You can find it at
Google.com/adwords. On that page you’ll see a link that says “find a keyword.” That
will take you to the tool where you can type in any phrase and getting hundreds of
suggestion based on that phrase. Putting the word “jewelry” will give you many
other things that people search for everyday such as diamond jewelry, how to make
jewelry, selling my jewelry, jewelry stores, selling jewelry online and hundreds
of others.

Knowing what people are looking for gives you the advantage to better search
positioning. The closer your webpage matches what someone is searching for can
help you make the sale. Just putting the word “jewelry” on your website will not
be good enough. You have to narrow the phrases down to an exact science. But using
the suggestion tool will take the mystery out of search engine positioning. Remember
also that this works with any online business from art to car repair and everything
in between. The proper training and guidance will make your website soar!

Did you know that you could be making sales from someone else recommending
your product or services to their readers? Just like an ad in a magazine, a major
site could be advertising your art or art expertise to their visitors and driving
traffic to your website. If those visitors buy something from you the website
that recommended them would get a commission. This is called affiliate marketing
and it is a great strategy for making online sales. Why? Because just a like a
high readership magazine, that affiliate website may have much higher traffic
than yours, especially if you are just starting out.

It is a win/win for everyone involved. You get to benefit from a highly visited
website recommending your products and they get to benefit from extra income from
the sale of your quality products. Using simple affiliate software from any shopping cart
or other third party manufacturers, you can issue a website owner an affiliate code
that will inserted in the link where they are advertising your site. When a visitor
clicks on that link and goes to your website, the code is tracked and keeps a tally
of the sales, if any.

The great thing about affiliate marketing is it works both ways. When you build up
decent traffic on your website, there are thousands of books, DVDs, CD’s and art
created by others for you to recommend. With affiliate marketing, you make money
coming and going. There are some techniques that will increase your ability to make
as much as you can with affiliates and with the proper training and guidance, you
can make big money on the Internet.
